Lee agreed to appear on the program and permitted his title to be listed in the materials. The rule permitted his participation because the fundraising purpose aligned with the required subject matter, supplying the necessary link.
Lamar Lewis clerked for a federal judge who presided over a contract dispute between Lexicon Media and a supplier. After leaving the clerkship Lewis joined a firm that represented Lexicon in the same matter. The parties refused to give written consent.
